Screen Cap’n is a local screenshot capture and annotation app for Windows.
Screen Cap’n processes screenshots, annotations, clipboard actions, saved files, and app settings locally on your device.
Screen Cap’n does not upload screenshots, captured image content, annotation text, clipboard contents, window titles, file paths, or saved files to Screen Cap’n servers.
Screen Cap’n does not include third-party advertising trackers.
Screen Cap’n may store local settings and local diagnostic logs on your device to support app functionality and troubleshooting.
Production diagnostic logs are disabled by default unless explicitly enabled for troubleshooting with SCREENCAPTN_DIAGNOSTICS. Diagnostic logs should not include screenshot image data, clipboard contents, annotation text, window titles, user-selected file paths, or sensitive file contents.
If Screen Cap’n is installed through Microsoft Store, Microsoft may provide aggregated Store analytics and app health information, such as installs, crashes, hangs, device categories, and OS version categories, according to Microsoft Store, Partner Center, and Windows diagnostic settings.
If optional crash reporting or usage analytics are added in a future version, they will be disclosed in this policy and controlled in the app settings. Screenshot content, clipboard contents, and annotation text should remain excluded from reporting.
